There are two major problems in the feminist debate about whether or not Lena Dunham details abusing her sister in her book Not That Kind of Girl. The most common problem, however, is as simple as a gross misinterpretation of the text. The second, is that feminists have allowed trolling right wing media to interject their fucked up agenda into the feminist sphere. In order to formulate a good and sound argument or interpretation about a text you have to use what the text actually states, consider the context, and in the case of a narrative like Dunham's, you must also consider the authors intent.
